Margaret Rizzuto is a Providence-based visual artist whose photography is shaped by how spaces are felt rather than simply seen. Her work looks at perception through movement, abstraction, and subtle shifts in form, often allowing images to emerge slowly—somewhere between clarity and blur, presence and retreat.
Working with traditional photography, multiple exposures, and intentional camera movement (ICM), Margaret is drawn to fleeting moments and quiet transitions. Her images reflect a restrained sense of space and time, informed by an interest in interior experience—how we notice, what comes into focus, and what remains just out of view.
Margaret has studied with Maine Media, the Griffin Museum of Photography, Santa Fe Workshops, and others.
She is an exhibiting member of the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts, the Bristol Art Museum, and the Griffin Museum of Photography.
