THE PAUSE

There’s a fluidity in Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) photography that appeals to my ever-present appreciation of imperfection - the wabi-sabi of life. By moving the camera during a long exposure, these images capture that fleeting moment where abstraction and reality merge.

This work developed from a personal curiosity about perception: how we see, what we miss, and how our lived experiences shape our understanding of the world. I’m particularly drawn to the in-between moments—the ones that slip by unnoticed. Through these images, I invite a pause. A moment to see differently. To loosen our grip on certainty and consider that what we assume to be real or true may not be the only way of seeing.
