THE PAUSE

There’s a fluidity in Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) photography that appeals to my appreciation of the beauty in imperfection and impermanence. By moving the camera during a long exposure, these images capture a fleeting moment where abstraction and reality merge.

This work developed from a personal curiosity about perception: how we see, what we miss, and how our lived experiences shape our understanding of the world. I’m especially drawn to the in-between moments—the ones that slip by seemingly unnoticed. Through these images, I invite a pause. A moment to see differently. To loosen our grip on certainty and consider that what we assume to be real or true may not be the only way of seeing.
